The Gift of Music: Two Online Fundraisers in May 2022

We may not have much, but we have our instruments, our time, and a deep love for our community. In this blog, you'll learn about two online fundraisers that we're performing for this month. Spoiler alert: we're raising funds for Feeding Southwest Virginia and the Green Hill Highland Games! Read on to learn about dates, times, and how you can help out, too!

If you've been following us for a while, then you've heard us talk about 3rd Street Coffeehouse and the Tuesday Tunes for Feeding Southwest Virginia series. For the past two years, 3rd Street has been calling on local and national musicians to give short online concerts on Tuesdays to raise funds to supply meals to hungry neighbors in need. Read about the program's first year here.

Well, we're beyond honored to announce that 3rd Street has selected us to close out Season 2 with a special hour-long finale concert on Tuesday, May 24! Tune in on the 3rd Street Coffeehouse Facebook page at 8pm EST and help us celebrate a tremendous community effort and take advantage of the opportunity to give to a good cause. Every dollar donated buys 5 meals for a neighbor in need!

And remember, you can donate to Feeding Southwest Virginia anytime by visiting the website below:

May 28 | Online Concert Benefiting the Green Hill Highland Games

The Green Hill Highland Games is Roanoke's local Celtic Festival, started back in 2008. These games are very dear to us on a personal level…not only was this the first stage that we EVER played as a full-fledged band, but it’s also where we first met in 2017…and where we got engaged a few years later.

Like many beloved public events, the Green Hill Highland Games were put on hold for two years because of the pandemic. We’re ECSTATIC that they’re back on the calendar for 2022, but the festival has some hefty fundraising needs. That’s where the May 28th online concert comes in.

We’ll be going live from our living room from 3-5pm EST—two hours of free music, to encourage anyone and everyone who can to donate to the Green Hill Highland Games!

Local festivals are incredibly important, and we’ve desperately missed ours. We hope you’ll attend the concert and help donate to a good cause! Click the button below if you want to give now.
