On May 15, we climbed the narrow staircases at Fret Mill to meet Amanda Bocchi and give an interview for the Appalachian Vibes podcast. We chatted about all kinds of things: traditional folk music in Southwest Virginia, Julie's synesthesia, and the story behind our first original composition, "The Borden Set." We also played a couple of tunes and pointed Amanda to our favorite tracks from the album.
The episode (S2E3) aired live on WFIR on July 4, 2021. You can listen to it online on the Appalachian Vibes website! You'll also hear interviews with singer-songwriters Adam's Son and Mac & the Machine.
"Appalachian Vibes is a radio show and podcast dedicated to challenging the expectations and highlighting the diversity of music created in the Appalachian region."
